Privacy Policy

Venus Studios ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Annece mobile application
(the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection,
use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you
have associated with that data.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to provide and improve the Service:

Account data: email address and password (stored as a secure
hash) when you register. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your
email address and a unique identifier from those providers; we do not receive
your password.

Baby profile data: name, date of birth, gender, and an optional
profile photo (selected from your photo library or taken with the device camera)
for each baby you add.

Tracking data: feeding sessions (breastfeeding, pumping,
formula, solid foods), sleep records, growth measurements (weight, height, head
circumference), pumping bottle inventory, and food diary entries you create
within the app.

AI recipe input: when you use the "Create with AI" feature, the
ingredient names you enter and your baby's age in months are sent to Google's
Gemini API to generate personalized recipe suggestions. This input is processed
by Google according to their terms and is not stored in a way that personally
identifies you.

Caregiver sharing data: if you invite caregivers to view a
baby's data via an invite code, their account email and the relationship to your
baby are stored to manage access.

Subscription data: if you purchase Annece+ Premium, the purchase
token and subscription status are processed by Google Play Billing and managed
via RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card or payment details on our
servers.

Push notification token: if you grant notification permission, an
anonymous device push token is stored so we can send feeding reminders and
vaccination alerts you opt into.

Device information: device model, OS version, app version,
locale, and anonymous diagnostic/crash reports.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Service and your account.
- To personalize content and insights (e.g., age-appropriate food advice, growth charts, AI recipe generation).
- To process subscription purchases and verify entitlements.
- To send push notifications you opt into (feeding reminders, vaccination alerts, lullaby suggestions).
- To enable caregiver sharing when you explicitly invite another user.
- To analyze usage trends and improve the app.
- To respond to support requests sent to our contact email.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers located in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg). All
traffic between the app and our servers uses industry-standard TLS encryption.
Passwords are never stored in plain text. We retain your data for as long as your
account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. Backups are retained for
up to 30 days.
4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share
the minimum data necessary with the following third-party services to operate the
Service:

Google Play Billing & RevenueCat — process and validate
subscription purchases. They receive a purchase token and an anonymized user
identifier.

Google Gemini API — receives the ingredient text and baby age
(in months) you submit when generating AI recipes. No account or personal
identifiers are sent.

Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — used only if you choose to sign
in with these providers; we receive an email and a stable user identifier.

Expo Push Notification Service / FCM / APNs — used to deliver
push notifications. They receive an anonymous device token.

Resend / SMTP email provider — used to send verification codes
and password reset emails to your address.
We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., average sleep duration for
babies aged 3–6 months) for research or product improvement purposes — no
individual is identifiable from this data.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property,
or safety of Venus Studios, our users, or others.
5. Children's Privacy
Annece is designed for use by parents and caregivers (adults). We collect
information about babies (name, age, feeding/sleep/growth data) solely to
provide the Service to the adult account holder. We do not knowingly collect
personal information directly from children, and the app is not directed to
children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child
directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Rights
Under GDPR (EU/EEA), KVKK (Türkiye), and similar regulations, you have the right
to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.

Delete your account and all associated data. Open the Annece
app, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. All your data will be
permanently removed within 30 days. You may also request deletion by emailing
us at the address below.
- Export your data (contact us at the email below).
- Withdraw consent for non-essential processing (e.g., push notifications) at any time from your device settings.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Active account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your
account, all personal data, baby profiles, photos, and tracking entries are
permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, and from backups within
the following 30 days. Anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained
indefinitely.
8. International Data Transfers
Our primary servers are in Germany. When you use third-party services such as
Google Gemini, Google Sign-In, RevenueCat, or push notification providers, your
data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries
with different data protection laws. We rely on these providers' standard
contractual clauses and certifications.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material
changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated"
date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of
the revised policy.
